There was a time when Hollywood was not just transient hookers, heroin and shattered dreams but a mecca for punk rock. Around this time from about 1977 – 1984 the True Sounds of Liberty were there pioneering the scene.
Don’t know who these guys are? Do you remember the song about fucking the dead called “Code Blue?” That’s TSOL. Change Today was the last album of an era of TSOL and LA as a whole. The band dissolved soon after and since have released some droll, generic punk albums. And somewhere along the line, singer Jack Grisham had his vocal chords turned into that of a Muppet’s. My biggest kick from this album is the stark similarities to The Murder City Devils.
