Can you imagine this: Godflesh tenderly ass-fucking The Velvet Underground? Sit there with that image in your head for a while. After it settles, you get the Swans.
These guys are apparently a classic band, but I only got introduced to the recently. It’s the most awkward industrial/rock/minimalist music that I’ve ever heard. Some of it is so fucking amazing, and some of it is just confusing. I would never say I disliked them, however they are not one of my favorites. Frankly, the only reason that I even had an interest in these guys is because of Bill Reiflin’s affiliation with them.
