Well it was bound to happen some time, NAUSEA is complete after an arduous six+ months editing.

Many filmmakers will say that their movie turned out differently than they thought from the get-go, but upon a viewing of the movie, Wes and I agree that this is exactly what the first draft of the script was back in August of 2007. Sure, some minor changes, but what we saw in our head was this exactly. It couldn’t have been anything else. Frankly, it would have been a disgusting piece of shit if we pressed forward with any of the half-cocked ideas that we came up with during our year of initial pre-production, when it was titled “Imp of the Perverse.”

Although the movie may has changed/evolved from “Imp,” it is the same concept with much better execution. Something like this can’t be over planned, or planned at all; just intuition, dedication, confidence and misfortune evolves into the masterpiece that is now the 86½ minute NAUSEA.

A sincere thanks to everybody who helped out with the initial inception throughout the winter of 2007 to the spring of 2008 and of course the entire cast, crew, friends & family that made NAUSEA possible.

We will be screening a sizable sample portion of NAUSEA at the Twin Falls Artist Coalition on June 20^th.

The location of this will be at the olde Evil Wine hovel, Woody’s Bar & Grill. We will be there with bells, whistles, rectal implants, and sages promoting NAUSEA and the other local Idaho artists.

Who knows, if we have enough drinks, there may be some improv comedy!

My eyes are filled with the vinegar of observation. They are red and beginning to blister. My pupils have grown giant cysts filled with bloody puss.

I took a break for a few days.

We are one third complete. Surprisingly there is not one weak moment in the picture thus far. It has progressively annhilated any thought that we are talentless hacks… instead it has been confirmed that we are aimless wanderers of the image industry who somehow stumbled into a story that knew how to take control of our weaknesses and strengths, fuck us in the ass, and become something that could potentially transcend the norm of indie film and be a true representation of the desperate our generation feels.

NAUSEA has become a true tragedy; a romance of the highest form as seen through the eyes of a demented fuck… the world is odious for the lonely. It is an absurd place. It is a heartbreaking place. Love is the core of human motivation and hate is its by-product. Fear of the self and the existence of others is the catalyst for devastation. Yes, these are the confirmations I have discovered through this production… and then the real kicker… through all this pain and turmoil that the human race inflicts upon its counterparts; the world is the most undeniably hilarious space ever imagined. Life is beautiful and ugly at the same time and through the proper looking glass this absurd connection is the center of all good humour. This is the nauseous world we have bottled into this movie.

And now production is complete. A new life has been born. The sickness is over.  Editing begins.

One may never know.
